Driven by the unique limitations of our hard tap water here in the Mojave Desert, we created a brewing water formula that could be used by folks who also had hard water in their local area.

Classical tea aesthetics look for waters around 30-70 PPM; our local water is beautiful but a bit too hard for tea, at 500-600 PPM. Gathering local spring water was also not an option for us, as the closest soft water springs are hundreds of miles away. With Curious Water, we could recreate the beautiful soft waters that are the core of classical tea brewing right here at home.

Water is life. As tea people, we have a responsibility to help steward our planet's most precious resource, especially with runaway climate change and the continued erasure of indigenous water rights and calls-to-action from the scientific community.
